We created a 45 second animation for Galfand Berger in Philadelphia, showing what happened to an operator whose order picker forklift backed into a crossbar, resulting in his death when the forklift went in too far and the horizontal crossbar crushed him.
In order to create this 3d animation we received an expert's report on the chronology and mechanics of the accident, OSHA safety and autopsy report along with measurements of the warehouse scene and the particular manufacturer's forklift truck.
We were then able to represent the distance traveled, size relationships between the operator, forklift truck, shop area and shelving units. All this needed to be considered in order to create a believable and engaging trial exhibit. We then made a "comp" or dry run animation showing movement and offered different perspectives to offer what views may be more advantageous for the attorney's viewpoint.
From our client:
“Recently handled a lift truck underride product liability wrongful death case where I realized that for a jury to understand the mechanisms of what an underride hazard was that I would have to do a high end quality computer animation as visual demonstration evidence for my case. Working with Bob Schenker of SA Graphics, Inc on this project was effortless. His conceptual instincts were excellent. He was committed to producing exactly what I had envisioned without having to micro manage the project. Great and easy to work with and would highly recommend him.”
