Differing accounts of a nighttime accident on I-94 called for storyboard images to help support an attorney's contention that a truck's unsignaled move into another vehicle's lane caused an accident and serious injuries to the plaintiff. Litigation storyboards of the accident in progress were created, adding legitimacy to the expert's testimony. Connecting accident scene damage photos with the sequence of the accident was critical to the attorney's narrative.
Showing the chronology of the accident and comparing impact points on the vehicles to the police accident photos taken at the scene brought the "dry" evidence to life. Using the police report, statements, and satellite data, we created an accurate accident diagram and portrayed road conditions experienced that evening. By showing perspective views of the accident we were able to accomplish the attorney's goal of portraying that the damages to the plaintiff and both vehicles were consistent with her story and photos from the accident scene.
The plaintiff prevailed and the case was settled for $1.25 million.
