A vicious attack by a 16 year old in a Diabetes Clinic of a children's hospital left a mother with long term symptoms from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Due to previous incidents at the clinic, the attacker's mother had been presented with a Behavioral Contract which the mother refused to sign. Not only were there no security cameras in the clinic but they trusted the mother with enforcement of the contract. It is important to note that security waited until after the attack to complete a background check. There was a history of increasing pattern of violence and disruptive behavior of Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest and Harassment Injunctions by the attacker's mother.
We prepared a series of storyboards for attorney Randy Rozek at Rozek Law in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to chronicle the attack at the clinic waiting room. Using the Sheriff's and Incident reports, Victim Impact Statement and architectural plans we created an accurate incident scene and portrayed conditions that day in the clonic, By showing sequential storyboards of the attack we were able to aid the attorney in demonstrating that the damages the plaintiff suffered were consistent with her story and statements of the attack.
