MULTIPLE IMPACT ACCIDENT STORYBOARDS
In this set of storyboards above, a tractor trailer moves into the passing lane just as an SUV is passing, causing the SUV to take evasive action to avoid impact. The SUV loses control and rolls over three times. Two passengers manage to get out and run to the side of the road before the SUV gets hit again from a second tractor trailer, resulting in the death of the driver and serious injuries to the two remaining passengers. The purpose of the storyboards was to tell the story and show the point of impact from the front bumper of the second truck, causing the driver's death. The impact sequence supported the expert's opinion and showed the mechanism of death, which was the collapse of the SUV's B pillar, impacting the driver at the base of the neck. |
